For all finance & property mediation there will be an additional, one off fee of £75 per person, which covers the set up of your financial summary for the case. This is payable with the first joint session fee.
There is generally no charge for letters, emails and phone calls between sessions (within reason), however, we reserve the right to charge for our time should we feel the need to do so. However, we will notify you before any invoice is sent. Additionally, if there is a room hire cost, this will be passed on to the client.
We are signed up to the Government Voucher Scheme, which offers £500 per family towards the costs of joint child mediation sessions: https://www.familymediationcouncil.org.uk/mediation-vouchers/.
As mediators, we can offer legal aid through our partner provider, Access Mediation Direct. If you are eligible (and we can easily assess you by telephone), the Legal Aid Agency will pay for all your mediation costs, so that the entire process will be free for you. Additionally, you will be eligible to a limited amount of free legal advice on the discussions being held in mediation. If your former partner qualifies for legal aid and you do not, the Legal Aid Agency will pay for your MIAM and the first joint mediation session.
